[GB] Shrewsbury Flooding: Services resuming as line reopens
26. February 2020, kl. 22:47
Services to Shrewsbury are being reinstated after Network Rail reopened the railway over the Severn Bridge viaduct.

The line had been closed to all trains at 2pm yesterday (Tuesday) but Network Rail removed the restriction just before 2pm today (Wednesday), allowing services to resume.

Passengers are advised that it will take some time before a normal timetable begins operating from Shrewsbury due to the displacement of traincrew and carriages.

Customers should check their journeys at www.wmr.uk/plan before travelling.

Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director for West Midlands Railway, said: "I would like to thank our passengers for their patience during these unprecedented high waters in Shropshire.

"Services will take some time until returning to the usual timetable, so passengers are advised to check their journeys before travelling."
